Bits of the hotel are spread across Santo Stefano di Sessanio. It restores medieval craftsmanship, but with modern luxury seamlessly incorporated.

Fallingwater by Frank Lloyd Wright has been voted the most important building of the 20th century in a poll conducted by the American Institute of Architects, doing rather well for a building that leaks and was not structurally sound.

Almost House by John Wilkin and Susanne Pini

The house is clad almost entirely in timber, including the kitchen counter top and bathroom.

The installation is seamlessly integrated in the ceiling of the entrance hall of a private residence, revealing the current natural conditions and man-made objects zooming through the airspace above the house.

Villa in Kitzbühel by Splendid Architecture

The exterior of the building is covered with planks of old Tyrolian wood that in part jut out over the openings in the façade.



Holy Family Shrine by BCDM Architects

This is a prime example of how vernacular architecture can be adapted for contemporary use.
